A buddy of mine and I went to Moab a few weekends ago to do some camping, and do some offroading. The only upgrades I did was get a new spare tire to match the rest of the 225/65/17's (Silly how the "full-size spare" package from Ford doesn't include an actual full size spare, but at least one fits up there), and an air compressor. I was able to air down a few times, and thankfully didn't need to use the spare at all.
Let me tell you, this little truck can WORK off the pavement. The AWD system on this thing is an absolute beast. It is very aggressive at shifting around power when you need it, and from my experience, the only thing it needed was a little more gas if it started to slip. This was my first real time doing anything offroad, and I was suprised just how much I could acutally do. The only thing holding the Maverick back was the ground clearance, and I'm really excited to see what it can do when I put on a lift and some bigger tires.
I have some videos from my instagram @rockymountainmav
