Vin specificThe quote itself has set pricing based on whether your vehicle is awd or fwd. If you go through the flood ford site to check example pricing, you have to indicate this before seeing the price list.
Can you tell me if oil changes, tire rotation and scheduled maintenance HAS to be completed at FORD dealerships ONLY in order for the ESP to cover any issues down the line that are included in the particular plan selected? Thank you.Hello Everyone!
I wanted to announce a thank you gesture for our customers here on the Mavericktruckclub. You guys/girls have been very supportive and we wanted to find other ways we can be helpful to the community. Starting today we are going to offer Ford Protect Extended Service Plans for $50 over our dealer cost on any Maverick, whether you purchased it from us or another dealership. This represents a savings on average of $1000-$2000 from other dealerships in-person pricing and a discount from other online Ford Protect retailers as well.
How do you get this started?
Please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
Name
Address
Phone number
VIN
Approximate mileage on vehicle now
Coverage desired (years and mileage)
The entire process will be handled seamlessly online by electronic signature and a secure electronic deposit. Your contract will be in force within 2-3 business days of completion of the deposit and electronic signature. Ford's ESP system is nationwide and will update electronically within their system showing your contract status, so you won't need a paper copy of the contract to bring with you.
Ford pass points can be used towards the purchase of these contracts as well!
Have another Ford or Lincoln vehicle you'd like to add coverage to? We can handle that too!The process is initiated the same way by emailing [email protected] with the information above.
This offer is good for anywhere in the U.S. with the exception of the state of Florida.
Again, we want to thank this supportive community here and appreciate the opportunity to help wherever we can!
Zach
Aren't they in reality 2-year extended warranties? If it's a 5-year and runs concurrently with the 3/36 btb factory warranty, then you would just get two more years. Does it cover things the btb warranty does not? If not, I wonder what the cost is if you buy one just before the 3/36 expires in order to get the extra 5-years of coverage on top of the 3/36??? JAT
because FL is messed up. Which is why it has its own category on Fark.comCurious why Florida is excluded? Sorry if it's answered elsewhere
Years ago, had a nice Ford Windstar van, bought used. Later, there was a problem with the transmission. The service guy at the Ford dealership ran the VIN and found that the original owner had purchased the extended warranty. We paid $50 to transfer the warranty and saved over $1,000 on the repair.I bought a Ford extended warranty on an 05 Freestar minivan I had. I don't remember what I paid for it at the time. I did all of my own maintenance on that van, and never had an issue or question about maintenance. I had several gaskets replaced (upper and lower intake gaskets and the oil pan gasket) under warranty, and two axles. Maybe some other stuff too, but that's what sticks out to me. It's been a while and my memory isn't what it used to be.
I bought the warranty because the Freestars had a problem with the input shaft of the transmission getting the splines stripped off during hard acceleration. That wound up being covered under a recall instead, go figure. Either way, I was covered.
OMG!@Granger Ford
IS THIS LEGIT???
I sent an email, got a quote, I signed papers and got my credit card billed. My Ford Pass app is still showing NO PLAN CURRENTLY SHOWING nor is it showing any points earned. I've sent a couple of emails after signing the papers and neither one got any reply.
Did I just get scammed???
I had a feeling that posting here on this thread that's been viewed 10k times and using the word scammed would ruffle some feathers.@Granger Ford

Did they email you a receipt or a copy of the contract? I got that stuff from Flood the next business day.I had a feeling that posting here on this thread that's been viewed 10k times and using the word scammed would ruffle some feathers.
I got an email reply not long after that from Granger. It would take up to 30 days to appear in your Ford Pass app.

No, but you might have to prove that needed maintenance was done as required by time or mileage - with receipts for parts if you 'do it yourself' or invoices if you have it done elsewhere. Can you tell me if oil changes, tire rotation and scheduled maintenance HAS to be completed at FORD dealerships ONLY in order for the ESP to cover any issues down the line that are included in the particular plan selected?
