Ordered xlt hybrid June 2021. Original delivery date 2/10/2022. Pushed back to 05/20/2022. Then was moved back to 3/10/2022. Was contacted by dealer on 3/4/2022 and was told it was being off loaded from rail car in Georgia and be moved to trailer for final leg to dealership. Then tonight 3/5/2022 received email from Ford saying my delivery date has moved back to 5/22/2022 to ensure quality...literally wtf is going on

Already have.. I am a patient person but at this point I have to say Fords lack of communication is some BS
Same thing happened to a couple of people in my January 3rd build thread.

@Red Ryder ended up having his delivered to the dealer within the next day and he now has it.

@casanewt just got the email today so undetermined how that will play out as of yet

You can click their names and view their posts to kind of keep tabs of how it played/plays out

Most likely it's a hiccup in carrier scheduling, these are super tough times to get something scheduled via rail or truck. I'm going to guess that they gave you a worst case scenario date range and once they find a suitable carrier to schedule with they will update again with something closer to your original date range.

I could deal with that. I know how things go but with Ford being the established company that they are one would think they would have better communication skills with their customers.

I’ll double down on what @FakeCowboy said. This is standard “under promise and over deliver.” But damn that’s got to be a shit email to receive. At least it’s Saturday so shots can be had without any hesitation.

You're talking about communicating unknowns. They're giving you a date range that they are probably extremely confident they can deliver by but in the mean time their logistics team is probably doing everything they can to bridge that gap to get it to you sooner. I mean, you're getting communication. I've ordered a few cars from manufacturers and I've never had any communication from any of them. It's always been a call from the dealer saying "hey, your vehicle is here" out of the blue. My WRX I waited 6 months with no communication other than being told it was being rolled into the 2016 production year.

My Maverick was built on 2/8 with an estimated delivery date of 3/15 then delivery date got moved to 6/14 now the delivery date is gone all together. Not sure why it would be moved 3 months back. Then gone all together.
