ALTO BLUE Maverick Photos Thread

Owning an Alto blue is a lot like having a five year old, you're very proud, you know you have lots of fun together, just damn hard to keep clean.
I have a question for you Alto blue guys. I ordered an Area 51 but I’m starting to love the Alto blue. I also been thinking that Area 51 will be played out and will see them every where. I have OCD with keeping my cars clean and wash them once a week 9 months out of the year. This will be my first Ford and was wondering how good is their paint? Is it soft and does it spider web easy just from hand washing? I never take my cars to auto car washes because of the swirl marks they make, but even hand washing can cause them from time to time. Thanks

First off I'm NO paint expert. I agree with you that Area 51, Cactus Gray and Velocity Blue will be seen over and over once things settle down and our Mavericks start getting delivered, etc. I love the Alto Blue Metallic. In the right lighting (sunshine, etc) to me its just stunning. Now realize this is a Dark Blue, it can appear Black at times, some say in certain lighting it seems to have some greenish hues. Dark colored vehicles will always require more effort in cleaning, etc. As far a paint quality in Fords, I've owned many in all my years, along with GM and Nissan vehicles. I could never tell a difference in paint quality from one brand to the other, but know that the government has mandated changes in paint and some say its not as good (regardless of vehicle brand).

Part of the Alto Blue choice, which like to say is midnight blue.
Originally ordered a Velocity Blue but let my wife know how I ordered an Maverick. She was not happy and especially did not like the color. Well there was a mix-up on who would do the sale into the ROVP system and in the next two days of phone calls changed it to her color of HRP, which I like. But eh more of seeing how many shades of red in vehicles on the road and in some lights was a orange red said to myself. Don't want to stand out that much and have a heavy foot, and really liked the Alto Blue, especially with the ceramic coating.
Told my wife that was changing the color March 2 and called Gervais Ford and changed the color on 3/3 and called again today and they will see if the sales manager will send me the build sheet with the color change as the ROVP does not show that detail.

Finally saw an Alto Blue today at a dealership. There was a lot of overcast so it definitely appeared black and couldn't really see the deep metallic blue. While I liked it, it was still too dark for me. While I know they are going to be everywhere in a year or so, I think I am probably going to switch to Catcus Gray or Area 51. I wish they would have that Blue Jeans color that was on the F150 which is a dark blue, but still clearly blue.

Looks awesome paint matched on the hood scoops and the spoilers. I have toyed with getting a hood scoop.A few more pictures of my Maverick. Waiting till summer to do mods.
