First, I have received delivery Feb 15th, ordered July 30th, 2021….but got a VIN number in September but messages that a Scheduled Build did not come until Nov 18th…..possible delay was I have a moon-roof and it supposedly uses another chip…..from numerous news articles it appears chip shortages have been a major contributor to delays…..I had the VIN number 2 or 3 months before production so I assume it was partially built but set aside awaiting the missing parts or chip.

Good luck to those ordering in Jun/July that are still waiting….totally not fair.

That’s to only be scheduled for production for 4/4. Deliver possibly by end of May so … call it 12 months.

This is brutal Uncle Duke, you ordered on June 10 way before the long line just 2 days after launch! Your First Edition should be called the Last Edition.

So sorry to see everyone's early orders still in limbo. People who were supposed to be driving their truck in Feb are being told May. But come May that can be Oct or next May with all the conflict going on in the world affecting not only chips but also magnesium for aluminum alloy to make engine blocks, lithium for batteries, and other rare earth materials.

Ford's promise to you in their Oct 21 email that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS items: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."

I would call and write the CEO, CFO, VPs and every board member on their website and hold them to this promise to keep you updated. You should not have to guess if your truck will ever be built.

Tim at LM is even showing the true salesman he is by using his sales skills to keep his buyers calm while others jump ahead of his long line due to LM not having enough allocations. Tim should have known it would be a problem to grab too many orders that should have gone to other dealers around the country. There are Bronco orders from 2020 still not delivered.

I would be very upset if I was at the grocery store owned by Ford in a check out line and they let shoppers keep cutting in front of me over and over...and over.

I ordered a Mav hybrid LUX 360 on June 17 and took delivery Jan 21 from my dealer 3 miles away at msrp + only a $85 doc fee. I thought I set the wait record. Commenter Kim Texas took delivery of her Lariat LUX early Jan. There are many more examples of people who are already driving their truck without facing the decision to compromise their builds.

No one from June or July should be waiting for a build date, especially First Editions.. Before you placed your order, did your dealer warn you about their ratio of orders to allocations? You are now faced with removing features to save the chips required, but I highly recommend do not drop 360 because that may save you from getting into a bad accident. I use mine every day. This allocation non-disclosure can lead to injury attorneys naming the dealer in the lawsuit.

To stop this mess, Ford needs to eliminate the allocation system that favors dealers and schedule by date of order no matter which dealer you used.

July 27th. Got a build date in Feb. Pushed to June 1st due to chip shortage. I have literally every electronic possible however. Stupid sour people from later on were scheduled before I was though.

I’m not sure how they can accurately say “you’ll get a VIN and build date in 2 weeks” as seen by this forum.

also in October you set yourself at the back of the “line” again by changing your trim level so consider that your new order date.

covered many times in fords statements, dealer statements, and fordvideoguy videos that changing your trim level and ordered package level (100/200/300a) will reset you.
Man this is terrible. The dealer didnt say anything or else I wouldn’t change. :(

I ordered on July 5th and added rear sliding window on July 13th from a small dealership (allocation wise), I say that because even though the dealership is owned by the largest and only Ford dealership in Tucson it's considered a separate and therefore a small dealership, which when I ordered from them I didn't know about allocations per dealership. I finally got fed up with seeing so many other folks getting build dates who ordered weeks, even months after I did, and quite a few the exact same build as mine!! So, I started writing emails. I started with the Official Ford Motor Company account member on the MTC. They acknowledged me after a couple of weeks and a couple of emails. They opened a case with the New Vehicle Support Team and was told they would contact me...to date they still haven't contacted me!
So then I got the email addresses for Ford Customer Experience (I also started a thread with the email addresses) and email them about my experience with the ordering process, wait time, allocations etc., basically everything I've been posting on MTC. I heard back from an executive assistant who said they would contact the factory, where I guess final decisions on who gets a build date must be decided. To my complete surprise I was scheduled! I was not only scheduled, but I was scheduled on a non-scheduling Thursday!! Since that happened I've written a few more time giving my thoughts about how the allocation system is really unfair, biased, and doesn't work for this way of ordering vehicles. In my last email they reply basically saying, "thank you for your ideas, we're passing them on to upper management and closing your case now"! So I took that to mean shut up, go away, you got your build date! :cautious:😁
My suggestion to anyone who ordered in June, July or Aug is to write and complain about the wait. If you enough people do write something will happen, maybe another FITS kit! According to Tim Bartz and what I've read elsewhere, going forward there is supposed to be a priority on June/July and 1st Edition builds so it will be interesting to see if that happens when scheduling starts up again. The struggle is real, the reward is great and the beat goes. ✌

Thanks!
I got scheduled on 2/24 with a build week of 4/25. The next "club" I'm hoping to avoid is the "my build date got pushed back" 😆 🤣

You just really have the luck of the Irish (famine), eh? 🍀

Seriously, though, I noted last night, during Tim Bartz's podcast, that someone who got the hot catalytic converter issue has learned that Ford has worked out a software update to correct it! By the time you get your Maverick, you'll have the perfected model.
