When did Ford say it was a no-no? They said marking up special orders was a no-no but dealer stock and abandoned orders? Sorry but the dealer OWNS those so they can do what they want. I don't blame them for marking up, if I sold a commodity that was hard to get and in short supply I would mark it up too in order to make up for my lack of volume. As for Farley's comments he said what is reasonable, there's a lot of leeway in that statement and I feel that is just a way to appease angry people without actually doing anything. Not exactly. He did nothing to explain if his dealership reached out to the individual that complained nor did he mention how this happened. Lastly he said that they evaluate the market and adjust accordingly on in stock vehicles which may explain how their markups have risen from what was originally lower markups but anyway he explained it doesn't change the fact Ford said this approach was a No No.......
