I might be dreaming, my wife accuses me of it all the time, but I believe the base ACM on the XL has an option for automatic updates and I believe you can choose to update to the latest available software anytime you want. Evidently the XL communicates to the cloud to do the updates, or maybe it used my wifi at home to do it. The insurance dongle also updates my insurance mileage every day somehow.

I tried that and it would not update. I believe this is something that must be preformed by the dealer.

Was able to download and install this update in my garage today. Had to run the “scan for updates” twice but then it loaded and installed. Got an audible confirmation message on the next key cycle. Below is the firmware # before and after the update

I tried that several times, using my phone as a hotspot. Never would download and update. Maybe I needed a better wifi connection?

How about using your home Wi-Fi instead. I forgot you do not need to update it now.

I don't know if it's available, but I found a 7 year old update for my Maverick today was installed via USB . Is it downloadable/installable through the website?
