Your right there, How do you know they didn't sell it to someone in the Family or some one gave them another grand more then you paid to get it Never know this guy was 8 hr away
Yeah, maybe a few $100 bills slipped into the right hand at the dealership could help decide who gets the truck. Direct deposit into Hip Pocket National Bank...

So last night I get a call from someone at the dealership thanking me for my business. I replied I hadn’t completed a transaction there yet and was still waiting to hear about my truck delivery. He said it would be arriving at the dealer today, Wednesday, and my salesman would be giving me a call. I thanked him, hung up and started packing for my 8 hour road trip. I was so excited I got up at 3 AM and left by 4:30 AM. As I was driving through Jacksonville my salesman called and I was so excited! He said “I have some good news and some news that might make you a little upset.“ Then he said the truck arrived but it had been damaged on the transport truck and the roof was so damaged they had to return it! I was stunned and couldn’t say anything for a minute or two and then I just blurted out that I was not a little upset, I was a lot upset! He apologized and said they would give me highest priority for another Lariat that was unclaimed. I’m afraid that did not make me feel any better! Back to the waiting game 😩
Update 2/3/22 - .Anyone who knows me knows I always say “everything happens for a reason!” This morning I got a call from my favorite salesman, Patrick, at my local dealer, Bozard Ford, telling me his customer who ordered a CG first edition Lariat got tired of waiting and turned it and bought a Mercedes! I’m getting dressed and on my way to get my new Maverick!!! Delivered 2/2/22, the Lunar year of the Tiger and my Lunar birth year! Ran into a snag with the temporary Fordpass Visa card so couldn’t take delivery today😥

Since this thread has gotten so long I’m adding this synopsis for those who want the Cliff notes (that sure dates me 😂!)

Update 2/4 - picked up my Carbonized Grey First Edition Lariat Chariot and love it! Received an email from Gary Yeoman’s asking how I liked my new vehicle that I took delivery of on 2/1? @Rob Cactus Gray was kind enough to run a Carfax inquiry on the VIN and it says the truck was titled to the new owner on 2/1!
2/5 - got an email from Ford asking about my experience so I told them!

Loved the update and the truck. FE looks great and nice contrast with the FE decaling, plus wind shield! CONGRATULATIONS!!

I got to maybe page 14 and had to stop reading because it made my brain hurt.

GYF better not eff up my order is all I can say.

You're right! That just added to the trauma of unexpectedly losing her beloved truck.

She didn't even get to say goodbye...
I'm sure it was a traumatic experience for all involved. Terrible, just terrible.

I'm hoping to come on here with a good story about the dealership, so the onus at this point falls upon Gary Yeoman Ford. Guess we'll find out in a month or so. My special order window sticker shows up on their website for all to see.

The only substitutes I'll accept for a juked Maverick order is a new Ford F-150 XL super cab or Ford Transit passenger van, both at what I planned to pay for my Maverick.

Yes, I ordered through GYF. I don't ever remember seeing the names of said duo in this thread. Who are they, because my salesmen worked as a duo as well. However, when it came to actually placing the order and who I've been speaking with since, I only dealt with one salesman.

I did received a call from Mike Smith right before the ordering was closed on January 27th asking me if I'd like to place my order. I think I had configured up a hybrid XLT to compare pricing, and he was following up on the 11th hour, but when I told him I already had an order number and a VIN for the vehicle I actually ordered on Nov. 5th, he said, "Ok, you're good then."

The only other salesman I spoke to was the one who contacted me about the overpriced CO Lariat to see if I was interested.

There's small circles here in Daytona. Word of mouth advertising can work in favor of a business, or be the downfall of it.

She mentioned Dylan and Mike. I thought their last names were included in the posting as well, but I didn't see them in a quick search.
