Good news, bad news. The salesman told me it was damaged and then sold it to someone else!

Already confirmed via Carfax that her truck was sold the same day.
Why do you call it "her truck"? It was never hers. She had a verbal agreement and didn't even have a deposit placed on it which, even if she did would still be pointless in most scenarios. In the car dealership world a verbal agreement is about as good as an IOU from a random stranger.

You are absolutely correct.

I can't speak for the OP, but I believe she considered it to be "her truck."

Well, did she 'Build' it online? under her name, and sent it to a dealer. Did she receive a VIN number of the ordered truck? It May be a case, but probably not worth it.

No, I don't believe she did any of those things. She bought one off the lot.

You do have the VIN number. You may be able to try and register it in your state to see if it is registered to someone else.
Yes it was sold they same day I was supposed to pick it up!

Could the dealer have just punched the sale thinking it was good? Was it near last day of the month?
It was sold on 2/1, the same day I was driving down to pay for it.

Are contracts permanent between car companies and dealerships or can they be revoked under certain circumstances ?
Don’t know but I didn’t have a contract, just a verbal assurance after providing my DL and CC info.

Not worth it, I had reserved an undelivered truck after original customer backed out.

It was a week before delivery. The truck was not on the lot.

No, she didn't. The dealer had a special order that someone else abandoned and then someone at the dealer made a "verbal agreement" with her.

Two calls and one VM from GY sales managers today…wonder what they want? Maybe they’re not happy about the online reviews? I’m not inclined to talk to them as I can’t imagine what good could come out of a conversation.

Wow. Aren't you curious?

Maybe there was a "big mix up" and they do have a Maverick for you after all...

You know that your satisfaction is very important to them...

They want to earn your business...

Not really curious, I can’t imagine what they would offer me to revise my review. No one could be bothered to return my calls/texts on Monday or Tuesday. I have my Lariat now, even though they don’t know, so I’m not in a big hurry to return their calls. Maybe I will in 4-5 days.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall at Gary Yeoman's Ford today. Bet that would be very interesting.
