Good news, bad news. The salesman told me it was damaged and then sold it to someone else!

Have you spoken with ford about this at all?
I have been debating whether to send an email, call or something else. At this point I think I have to wait until Monday. @Ford Motor Company refers everything to the Sales Manager😕

I know there was another member that got an email for some of the ford corporate folks. I am sure they would be interested in your story. Who knows, could save some folks the same issues. Maybe they would throw in some ford pass points to take care of your maintenance.

I was told the roof was so badly damaged that they couldn’t even repair it which is the reason they refused it.
I think having the moon roof may come into play. The dealer may not wish the risk of leaks after repair. Also a vehicle with such low starting price even though this is not a base model can be totaled very quickly by insurance companies. In my state once totaled it must get titled as a rebuild.
Hope this has a happy ending. I guess I'll jump to the last page and move backwards.

Is there a possibility that YOUR truck was sold?
What’s the point of selling your truck to somebody else if you’re coming to get it? I feel like I’ve read about that before on here. If the dealer’s getting your money - what advantage do they have of getting it from someone else instead? Seems like just a good way to loose business.

I would be remiss if I did not share the email I just received from Gary Yeomans Ford in Daytona Beach, FL! It certainly makes me wonder about my ”damaged, had to be returned“ CO Lariat hybrid. I have not been able to get any info with the VIN, so if anyone can help I would appreciate it! VIN #3FTTW8E32NRA01056. If it turns out they sold to someone else I would really like to flood reviews of a scumbag dealership!

I just had an online chat with Gary Yeomans Ford to let them know that MTC members are reading about their dealership. She said she would forward the information to the internet sales person. Maybe if enough of us contact them, it will let them know that they are under the magnifying glass.

One of the members here ran a carfax and the truck was sold the same day the salesman called to tell me it had been damaged and was sent back😡

Greed maybe? A salesman’s friend or someone comes in and offers you $5k to buy the truck. Do you say no or tell the other buyer the truck was damaged and returne?

I think online reviews are more effective personally as the chat person is probably a part-time or lowly employee but thank you for chatting with her!

Sounds like grounds for a lawsuit. If you put down a deposit when ordering and signed paperwork, that could possibly hold up as a binding contract in court. Now you have proof that it was sold and you were lied to. I would make them call the person they sold it to and have them return it immediately. It wasn't "dealer stock" to be sold. Ford is already investigating lots of dealerships for outlandish price increases but this is on another level. 🤬🤬🤬

I agree, but I was hoping that someone at the dealership would take this up their food chain. Hopefully, FoMoCo is aware of this situation. MTC should have a "Hall of Shame" to make everyone aware of dealers like this.

This was a truck that had been ordered and then turned down by the customer. They had my license and credit card but would never charge a deposit even when I kept calling. If they don’t have a deposit they are able to sell to the highest bidder…pretty shady!
