Order placed on Jan 21, 2021 @ 1000

I heard they stopped taking orders on the 27th. My friendly Ford sales person (Mark) is awesome, he emails me once weekly with a status update. Even he is nervous we may not get a build.

Did anyone else order close to the drop deadline?

Any of my options problematic?

Anyone want a Gen I 4wd Tundra with 200+K miles and a small oil leak?

I ordered on the 24th and my dealer received my COVP approval from Ford this morning. They sent me a copy. I am seeing lots of folks who have ordered EcoBoost models being scheduled to build within a few months. So, I am FAIRLY confident we will get our trucks this year. Not 100 percent, but I think it's going to happen. Now, for those waiting on hybrids, I'd say all bets are off. Seems those engines are way more constrained.

If held back, the luxury package and the 360 are two two things that are constrained on your order.

Agree, but necessary options for a new teenage driver and avid phone user (360) and wife who needs constant warmth (XLT LUX).....counting on some delay. Going to hate to see the Tundra (TheBEAST) go, but they will NOT.

I have my concerns and straight-up skepticism in the 4K towing capability. Searching the threads for hauling stories......

I hope this Thursday is the day I will get that infamous email from Ford.

I ordered my Lariat AWD Luxury FX4 4K on 1/14 and ROVP approved on 1/21. Sales manager says better than 50/50 my order is pushed to 23 and would need to be reordered this summer once order banks are open again. Tiny dealership here.

Bottom line is nobody really knows. The important thing is we have approved orders. I think Ford will do their best to build the trucks that have been ordered, but depending on the packages you want, they may simply not have the components to do them all. Time will tell. In the meantime, I'm just going to keep saving money and if I end up getting pushed to 23, that may be OK. However, Ford should honor the pricing you agreed to at the time of order. So, if that happens, I would work with your dealer to get that honored.

Sales manager told me that there is no price protection moving from one model year to the next. When the vehicle gets reordered, the new pricing is what you pay.

Why would you have to reorder?

List it on craigslist hawaii you will get 15k for your truck!

As for the maverick order maybe the lux and 360 may slow you down because of chips. I got the same build but i only got tater chips.
