I have finally got Cruise working on my XL. I'm not positive that you absolutely have to have both of the IPC inputs, however, I have working cruise, so I haven't dug into it too far. If anyone wants to challenge it, feel free to post the results!

Ive got an xl also that i will be trying to do this to in a few days. Mine has co pilot 360 does yours? The IPC values you listed are the same as my as built values. Maybe just the SCCM and Bcm values need to be changed to accomplish this.

Mine has copilot as well, it seems like a lot of people are finding that they have the same IPC numbers, my maverick was different, I got mine octobe 3rd, I'm not sure if maybe they changed it after they made a few trucks due to switches or something, but I had to change my IPC numbers and this is what worked.

I got mine December 21st, so maybe they made changes. This is the first ford ive ever owned so i dont know much about forscan. Does the latest version of forscan work for making cahnges or do i need the beta version?

Thanks for putting in the hard work. I have rostra CC and not impressed with it. I ordered the 2020 Escape steer wheel and will also order forscan. Was there anything else needed.
thanks

sorry I am late to seeing this but I just want to clear up some confusion. To do this upgrade to gain basic cc you just need to get a new steering from an Escape or Bronco Sport and a way to program into the OBD2 port for this to work?

one possible idea for programming Is I sent in a request with infotainment.com for a factory cc. Have not heard back. But since they own obdgenie.com they could make a programmer that turns it on for some money.
Yes I'd be interested as well. I've never tried any programing.

Yes, the escape and bronco sport share the same airbag, and it seems the focus does as well. The explorer uses a different airbag, the airbag plugs look the same the only thing the explorer airbag is missing is a connector on the airbag. Not positive if it will fully work yet, but it's got the heated part and the adaptive cruise buttons
Good information to know. Looks like I'm going to be buying one of those custom Focus ST/RS carbon fiber and suede steering wheels.

Ford Maverick Factory cruise control enabled on XL with Forscan and Escape steering wheel FocusRS_Steeringwheel-5

I have not read every post in this thread, but have you test driven with CC enabled to make sure all functions work? Things like disabling CC when tapping brakes are important.

No ACC requires sensors that non equipped vehicles do not have.

Sorry to be ignorant but I wondered if those of you who are very schooled in the acronyms and terms be willing for this old lady the full word to the various terms for example; what is ACC? Please I want to understand what's being discussed. Since I really want to see if the options is something I might want to do and/or learn more about it. (Ordered XLT with lux package)
I even noticed I don't like the gear/console cup holders between the driver and passager. Too easy to spill and it's poor placement in my opinion. Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and ideas!

We all started someplace. Here is a Ford Truck Website that has a quite exhaustive Glossary of Automotive Acronyms, although it may not have everything. It's a start: https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/glossary-of-automotive-acronyms/

ACC is Adaptive Cruise Control. You can get the radar module and harness plug for it on ebay. Leads me to believe that if you know FORSCAN and figure out the wires that are already in the harness you may be able to get it working. My MachE has it with stop and go and it is the best in near gridlock traffic.

Out of curiosity how much does all this cost (forescan, new steering wheel, etc.)? At some point I feel like for all the money you spend trying to add XLT/lariat features to your XL, you might as well have just bought the higher trim from the getgo

There are all kinds of reasons and viewpoints that come into play. Personally, I dislike the XLT interior. Subjectively, I do like the dark interior of the XL, so my wife and I decided to purchase an XL and add the features we want without having to take an interior we don't like, nor a lot of features we don't use. Yes, we will end up spending about the same amount of money to purchase an XLT, but that's not the consideration.

Think a new set of buttons are under $60 and $10 for the software, $50ish for ODB adapter..

My build would be XL $22675 +$150 for cruise and $50 for rim paint so $22875.

Same optioned build in XLT $24960. So save $2085.
