Without getting into detail, I ordered a canceled FE RR EB from a dealer out of state (I'm in NY). I put feelers out everywhere, after 2 of my friends, that I put on to the Maverick, 2 weeks after my order.... had build dates I decided to look within a drivable range for canceled or in stock Mavericks...
Got a call back from an out of state dealer. I said I would let them know following day. Before morning I printed window sticker with price they emailed me and signed it with my driver's license. I know it's not an original order.... They aknowledged and I gave a deposit to hold/order it. I requested a confirmation, I said text or email is fine, they texted the vin with management name stating it's on hold for me....
Just concerned because it's a canceled order, I have heard stories of dealers overselling, where one salesperson didn't check with other salesperson.
Don't want to put dealer name out, new Maverick is expected any day. Hopefully I will post positive dealer experience story with photos in the coming week or so. In reality I know a text or email doesn't mean much, waiting till Monday to confirm they charged my card.
Happy new year!
