I'm looking to boost the sound a bit without replacing the speakers.

you definitely should have pulled the 6x9 and used that space, but otherwise, job well done. Not Lobo, but the stereo is the same as any other B&O as colinl stated.
I just went through an in depth project doing exactly what you're asking. I documented it here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...em-in-ecoboost-lariat-b-o.74221/#post-1228488
Perhaps, but I just wanted it to be fully and easily reversible. Which meant leaving in the 6x9.you definitely should have pulled the 6x9 and used that space, but otherwise, job well done.
I have the stock B&O amp with Focal components, a kicker 500.1 amp and an Alpine R2 8" dual 2 ohm sub. It's plenty for me. I will replace the B&O amp when it fails but until then it's never been inadequate with efficient components. (I am sure it doesn't have the power for low sensitivity / high rms components.)
There are a few high(ish) budget trucks documented here on MTC and a bunch of high end trucks you see at shows etc that have some pics but no technical details that I've ever seen. B&O equipped trucks should take A2B signal out of the sync3 or sync4 unit and then go from there.
Thanks for the replay. Unfortunately, none of the threads include someone simply upgrading the amp with no additional mods. Just a $175 amp upgrade to see the sounds difference. Only looking for sound boost.several threads on this in the electronics thread as all trucks with B&O are the same amp, sub, front & rear speakers. 25+ have a different head unit of course.

you don't need a replacement amp, especially not a 175 dollar puzu or similar. Thanks for the replay. Unfortunately, none of the threads include someone simply upgrading the amp with no additional mods. Just a $175 amp upgrade to see the sounds difference. Only looking for sound boost.
Other threads include $2000-4000 in upgrades or doing mods themselves.
Thanks for the response, this is very helpful. I think the system sounds great, I just want louder.you don't need a replacement amp, especially not a 175 dollar puzu or similar.
I still use the b&o amp and I can hit 108db on a calibrated mic, perfectly clear, at volume 30 playing a variety of music. the b&o amp can play the front speakers fine, but the factory sub is a joke, and the rear speakers are best faded to nothing and forgotten.
change the front speakers first. add an amp and subwoofer, or a powered sub at least as powerful as a kicker hs10. those things will actually make a difference. no one who knows audio would suggest you change the factory amp and nothing else.
For the record, this is to a "T" what I feel I accomplished with my upgrade that I linked to, above. If you dont want a subwoofer, just ignore those aspects. Thanks for the response, this is very helpful. I think the system sounds great, I just want louder.
