My Maverick has been sitting in Arlington, TX for a week now. Most likely my truck is waiting for a train engine to head north (final destination is Iowa)...

Update on Dec 5th 4:40 AM

At 3:06 AM ET on 12/5 the train is moving again and has departed the Union Pacific Alfalfa Yard (El Paso, Texas)

Destination is stated at Industry on 12/11 @ 7:59 AM.

So far it has taken 3 days 16 hours and 20 minutes to travel the 384.1 miles from Nogales AZ to Tucson AZ and then to El Paso TX which works out to be an average train speed of 4.35 MPH.

Having delays in each of these locations Tucson AZ (1.267 days), Lordsburg AZ (0.0264 days) and El Paso TX (0.91 days) really depresses the average speed.

Have you checked tracking on CSX as sometimes the rail car gets put onto another carrier or maybe they are shipping your truck by convoy to Iowa.

see if it’s scheduled on the Convoy (Truck not Rail) to your Dealer!
https://palsapp.com

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Mine is still meandering around in New Mexico. This morning it was in Vaughn NM then at noon it was leaving Santa Rosa NM. Looks like it's following rt. 66 to Oklahoma City then who knows where?
This is a map of the rail system and tracks in the USA. It is in pdf format and you can magnify it to see greater detail.

CSX is the one that I have been getting my information. UP can't find my rail car. I have also checked the convoy website when I checked the latest status. Each time it cannot find my VIN.

It departed Kansas this morning. Moving along now. I hope it will hit Illinois tonight or tomorrow.

Apparently CSX was giving incorrect information. My truck is not in Texas. I tried UP again and this time it gave information...it said that railcar TTGX694850 is by Topeka, KS! I must be on the same train as STARCOMMTREY1. 👋

It left Kansas City this morning. It looks like it had multiple stops in that state. I'm hoping once Norfolk Southern has it that they will have less stops to make.

Update on Dec 4th 5th 6:40 PM 10:25 PM 4:40 AM

At 6:20 PM the train is moving again and has departed the Union Pacific Alfalfa Yard (El Paso, Texas)

Edit: Well there is some delay because it now says estimated departure from the Union Pacific Alfalfa Yard (El Paso, Texas) is going to be at 11:59 PM. So it is not moving yet.

Edit: At 3:11 AM on 12/5 the train is moving again and has departed the Union Pacific Alfalfa Yard (El Paso, Texas)

Destination is stated at Industry on 12/10 @ 7:59 AM which is a day gained from yesterday and back to the estimate from 12/2.

Edit: Destination is stated at Industry on 12/11 @ 7:59 AM.

So far it has taken 3 days 12 hours and 10 minutes to travel the 384.1 miles from Nogales AZ to Tucson AZ and then to El Paso TX which works out to be an average train speed of 4.56 MPH.

Having about a one day delay in in each of these locations Nogales AZ, Tucson AZ and El Paso TX really depresses the average speed.

The time to arrival at Industry TX from El Paso TX is quoted as 6 days 4 hours 48 minutes and the distance is 663.3 miles. That works out to be an average of 4.46 MPH so it appears that there will be a number of additional long stops along the way.

The distance between "City of Industry TX" and my dealership AutoNation Ford Frisco is 257 miles so there will be additional time from unloading at "City of Industry TX" then putting it onto a Vehicle Carrier and then travel to Frisco TX.

I can see why Ford has stated Dec 13 to 19th for delivery as the travel by Train is so F-ing slow. For $1495 destination charge I expected better.
Where is yours now?

Update on Dec 6th 6:45 AM

At 5:07 AM ET on 12/6 the train was passing Coahoma TX

Average speed of 11.3 MPH since leaving Sierra Blanca TX

There was a stoppage in Big Spring TX of 4h 38m (0.193 days) that impacted average speed.

Destination is stated at "Industry" on 12/11 @ 7:59 AM.

The automated UP system is terrible in pronouncing names. It is even worse that some GPS's.

I had previous updates but with names pronounced like "Texicding" (Pecos Siding), "Brakesprail" or "Briggspayne" (Big Spring). Needless to say I was unable to find any city in Texas with names close to those. EDIT: I found the names later and updated them here in the ().

Even todays update said something like "Qualtoma" which I interpreted as Coahoma as that is on a UP line from Sierra Blanca TX.

The automated UP system repeats the rail car number letter by letter I wish it would do the same for the locations.

I also signed up for a free fax number and requested the fax update but UP have never sent the ones I have requested.

Try Norfolk Southerns tracing. It is tracking mine even though it's on UP. Might be because they expect it or it might be a national system they all use

Try Google and search the name you are given with "rail yard". This is how I found this one.

One location for me was "Alphafa" which using google was the Union Pacific Alfalfa Yard (El Paso, Texas)

This makes me depressed. It's taking it this long to get to Texas, it'll take forever to get to Raleigh. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
