Did you try LA's totally awesome cleaner that I recommended earlier in this thread? I'm pretty sure it'll work, and for $1.25 it's worth a try before breaking out the buffer and compound. It completely erased similar stains that were 10x worse on my white gutters with zero effort

Also this is a common problem on campers. RV stores sell a spray called black streak cleaner or something similar which probably does the same thing
Not yet. We've had rain for the last two days (and more on the way). I'm going to also try a clay bar. Can't remember if I have one or not (probably not good anymore if I do).

... I have wanted to buy a dirt bike, but don't want to drive somewhere in order to use it. I sold my jet ski because I got tired of having to drive to use it.
...
We got e-MTBs and they're great fun. Unlike dirt bikes which are loud, can't be used on the road anywhere and need lots of space to roam, we've found places nearby that we can ride to, have fun in and then ride back home. Or, it takes 5 minutes to throw them in the Maverick and drive somewhere to ride. No need for a trailer or ramps or gas or tons of gear

+1 to "simple is best". (y)

Can't help but laugh at some of the customized vehicles I see driving around here in SC. Especially the 4x4 crowd! There's no available BLM land like out west so you have to drive quite a distance and pay to use an off-road vehicle park at about $25 a day - to beat the crap out of your ride. Some mods I've seen have to add up to tens of thousands of dollars, likely more than the original cost of the vehicle. As someone who's had a couple 4x4's , a Baja Bug and dual-sport motorcycles, I get the enjoyment of off-roading but unless you've got LOTS of money to burn I'm just not seeing it around here.

Anyway, I'm way past the point of wanting to stand out from the crowd with a vehicle (or anything else) that screams "Look at me!" and enjoy keeping a relatively low profile to more or less fade into the background. When all the dust settles nobody really cares what you're riding around in. Even your friends who tell you how cool it looks are likely really thinking either, "Inadequacy issues?" or "What a dork".
I try to be a “gray man” and hope others see me that way. Actually, I hope they don’t see me:)

But I was “forced” to buy a Velocity Blue Maverick & I feel conflicted. I enjoy seeing colorful cars on the road - just not with me behind the wheel. Worse yet, I find myself adding mods that make it stand out even more.

Gray Man is now Blue Man sigh.

Sort of in the same boat, would have liked a more subtle Azure Grey above all, but limited selection in the current sale, and the drab colors were kinda debbie downer, so a Velocity Blue found me, and I feel happy that it's more vibrant, but don't want to stand out tooooo bad... mind you, I had red cars before.

Anyway, guess we're gonna have to make ourselves soft toppers/canvas covers out of this kinda thing to disappear

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to get some to use on my white gutters.

LOL. What's funny is I'm the same way. I was going to get Cactus Gray, right up to the moment I was sitting at the dealership and ordering the truck. I just kept wrestling with the fact that every vehicle I've had for the last 30 years or so was some shade of gray. I decided white when he started asking for options/etc. I had thought about the Area 51 and even thought about the metallic red. I honestly didn't realize how dirty white was going to look all of the time.

Hello, I did not read all comments. Make sure the aftermarket lights paint is not failing into the cars clear coat. If you see it everywhere than it's a different issue.

Here is how to get rid of it: Use a Clay bar with Clay lube. if not than it must be prepped and polished out of the clear. if that parts were metal you could use a tool to mesure the paints thickness.

white looks way cleaner than black, to me it looks clean all the time imo. it can depend on the dirt where you live. In texas i use to get this black dust/dirt a lot.

No aftermarket lights. These are the factory lights.

I actually use that mother's detailer for some regular cleaning maintenance as well. I haven't had a chance to take a clay bar to the area yet but am going to give it a try.

So, it's rained the last few days and here's a better example of what happens. All the dust/dirt from driving runs down the front of the vehicle, and because my driveway has a slight lean, it all runs to this side. I swear, I just don't know what to do at this point. You can see some of the old dirt stained into the bumper...........and to be clear, I have dirt that runs down when it rains in several places; the door handles, right near the seam line of the bed rail (behind the C-pillar about in line with the gas cap). This is just dirt running off the vehicle from rain, but the bumper is the only place where it is getting INTO the paint.

I would demand a repair. Possible the clear coat wasn't applied on the bumper.
Yeah, I don't know what the hell is going on. I've never had this happen with any other vehicles and I've been parking in the same spot of my driveway for 17 years.

It does look like there is some clear coat to my eyes, other wise the base color paint would not have as much gloss. If it wasn't plastic one could take a paint meter to it.

That would be my thought. Thinking maybe not enough. I picked up some clay bars a few days ago. Just waiting for some cooler weather to use them.
