Hey All, I'll be picking up my new Maverick in a few days. My Ford dealer offers Ally as well as the Ford extended warranties. Anybody have any experience with the Ally extended warranty? I know besides Ford dealers the Ally covers other repair shops repairs. Thanks in advance. Mike

The general recommendation you'll find on this forum is to go through Flood or Granger to get the ESP. It is a Ford warranty program, so you can trust in it. Because they sell extremely large quantities, their price/margin (and therefore your cost) are the lowest you'll find.

I had ESP through Flood Ford on my '19 F150. Good price and got a rebate on the unused portion when I traded it. I'll do that with the Mav if I still have it when the 3/36 is up.

My Wife #2 was a Warranty Clerk and a Service Writer and I worked as a Salesman in a major dealership. NEVER buy anything other than the manufacturer’s warranty.
Ally is Not a manufacturer’s warranty. I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole, my friend.
Dealer service centers often don’t honor non-manufacture warranties and that will leave you paying cash then trying to file a claim yourself, and perhaps not getting paid back.

As other’s mention. Buy your Factory ESP from either Flood Ford or Granger Ford. It will save you a ton of money over buying it from your local dealership, most likely. It will be honored at any service center. If someone tells you different, they are full of crappola. Dealerships are allowed to sell ESP’s for as much as they want to charge and it’s an extremely high margin item for most of them.
Play smart and buy it from Granger. They even offer an 18mo zero interest finance plan.

Good luck, my friend.

Relatively impossible to just quote a standard price.
Ford ESP has varying different plans along with varying years and mileage. Deductibles or no deductibles. Some are just powertrain some are more like bumper to bumper.

Ally extended warranty, is owned by Ally financial, which is successor to GMAC.

Here is the link to the Grainger prices. It took a couple minutes to figure it out. Their website will ask you some questions about your Maverick and eventually you get to a spreadsheet looking thing and you pick your plan at the top (4 choices), then your deductible, then your number of miles and years. They said the prices shown already reflect the $25 over their cost:

Granger motors, Granger Iowa. It is a Ford factory warranty. Pick your plan at their website. After you buy it it is added to your VIN and shows up at all Ford dealership on their computers. It is honored at all Ford dealerships.

Never buy a third party warranty

Ally covers a lot from the looks of it ... If they give you freedom of repair shops (which it sounds they may not) - that alone would be worth it to me ... getting in a Ford dealer (which the ESP requires if not mistaken) appointment wise can be daunting if you need it repaired asap. How is the pricing compared to Fords Warranty - when they discussed it with you , if you don't mind ? Tough to form a solid opinion considering ....

Ally it’s probably not a solid coverages from Ford and from Granger you get a great discount since the Ford is also transferable for a small fee it’s the one to go with. I’m so glad I got mine cause they gone up in price by 40% since 2023 same with the maintenance agreement which makes oil changes cheaper than ever and covers all your brakes

It doesn't matter what your mileage is when you get an ESP, all ESP's start the day the truck was sold. a 5 year ESP, is only a 2 year extension over the factory 3 year 36K. Call Granger, and Maria will explain what is best for you. It's also transferable to the next owner.

You can also use the configurator at the Granger site to tailor the coverage the way you want it it’s fun to see what the numbers change from adding years miles or options

Thank you for the studious reply. The waiting time for appointments really stood out in your reply. I will go to my dealer (Brown Motors) today, and hopefully get more information. With me I will bring the Granger and Flood online quotes for the 8yr/85,000 ESP warranty which I hope to outlive!!! I'm eighty, but my child bride is 9 years younger than I
