Well, after months of waiting my Rival skid plate arrived, about a week ago. Haven't put it on yet as I'm waiting to use my friends lift. Hopefully, next week. I'll report back.

Hoping mine gets here by fall.
Only thing it seems to miss is the air scope for the rdu. I
May be adding that to
Mine once it arrives

Take some photos and video of the install.

The skid plate is installed. Easy peasy.
If the front holes aren't threaded you have to feed a nut they supply welded to a wire. No problem there. Insert the two 6mm bolts, loosely inserted. Put 2 bolts in the back ( mine were 8mm threads and they sent 6mm) luckly had a couple 8 mm. You slide the plate grooves on the rear bolts while lining up the front, which also slide on. Tighten and that's it.
Awesome product.

That’s Awsome thanks. I may take a look before mine shows up and I’ll thread that spot on the unibody myself for a bolt so I don’t have to worry if mine doesn’t have a nut.

I installed a Rival skid plate, went easy. I just didn't like the gap at the front, and the nutserts with nothing in them, so I cut a 2.5 inch strip from the oem cover, and installed it at the front of the rival. Put it behind the Rival, and reinstalled the front screws. Doesn't really do anything, but I think it looks better like that.

Exactly. There is no reason that beautiful aluminum skidplate couldn't reach 2 inches further forward to close the gap and cover all the Ford fastener holes. It's a design fail that keeps me from laying down the cash for it.

If Rival was trying to make it easier to get the front bumper off, there is no need... The skidplate is the least of your worries when you have to disassemble the front half of the truck to remove the bumper. 🤷‍♂️
