Center Console - French Press Hauler!

Heading out yesterday there was a good half a cup of coffee remaining in our french press after filling the travel mugs. Being the kind of desperate person to be unable to leave a drop of coffee behind I brought the press out to the truck. The intent was it would sit on the floor between the feet of my co-pilot so as not to spill.

Co-piolet said "I wonder if that would fit in the center console?" and lo and be hold it fits perfectly! And no tip over and spilling worries! Better yet: no coffee wasted. I'm so happy with this truck.

My photos aren't great, I was overly excited and still had to little coffee in me...

This may be the most hilarious post on this forum - I still use my 1970’s Stanley Stainless Steel Thermos for long road trips or I do a drive thru at McDonald’s since I’m not a coffee aficionado…

The irony here is that McDonalds actually serves one of the better coffee for such places!

I'm picky, but will drink McDonalds happily.

The biggest difference is that either the beans are 100% arabica (unlike Folgers, etc.) and not overrated until burnt (Starbucks, etc.),

It really shouldn't be too tough to swap out the heater of a k-thing brewer for a 12v dc, or perhaps clean the draw on the 400w power enough (maybe converting to DC with a nice fat capacitor? charge a super capacitor?).

Less complex. No fabricating. 800 watts max output. 230 watt hour capacity, so 17 minutes at 800 W before needing to recharge. Recharge will take a few hours at ~125 watts (90% round trip efficiency).

o would rather expect that that would clean over enough to not have problems. Particularly the battery to take the spiked draw as the header kicks in.

I am planning a road trip to NorCal over Memorial Day weekend so this is right up my alley. -Especially since I can easily make the 420 mile trip with no need to refuel. (Take that Leon Mush.)
Maybe I’ll need 2 pots for intake + exhaust lol
