Has anybody ordered and received a cover from Bakflip.com?

Ordered the x4s over a month ago and still pending. Asked support twice and they gave me two dates that have already passed.

I ordered from x4s Real Trucks the middle of October. I ordered via chat and a good price. He told me when I was asking about it that I would have it by the end of the month. I discussed it more then ask this is the BAK X4S I'll have it by the end of the month. He replied yes by the end of the month. I keep watching their website and the date keeps running away from me. In some jurisdictions it is not OK misrepresent the facts in order to sell something. I am not happy.

I've never owned a truck but I'm a bit surprised at the pricing on covers. Some of the cloth ones in the $300-$500 range make sense for the most part to me but I don't get how some of these are $1k+. I know the hard rollup is very different in design and cost compared to the trifold but they are priced almost the same so I'm a bit lost on that.

They aren't exactly made of rare materials and frankly with no prior experience I would have thought you'd see fiberglass in the $1500 range.

839.10+tax with free shipping is pretty reasonable though which might explain it.

Mine also says pending for 2 months now,. I rather see a date that shows look you will get yours next year March 01 or even 2030 so chill, rather than seeing pending. I think they are building the machine that builds the covers or its made of precious earth materials or perhaps it has a microchip in it or it needs a vaccine. i dno im so done with them first and last for me. Shame on Bakflip

I am trying to be patient since the X4s is what I really want. I had the X4 on my F-150 and loved it. The few things about the X4 that I felt could have been improved have been addressed on the X4s.

I called Bak directly and asked both price and availability and I was told by the sales gal that it would not be available until sometime in December. That might explain the delay from other sources. But boy that price from Real Trucks sounds great!!

Have noticed that the dates have disappeared from both the BAK and Real Truck websites. Bak now says coming soon and Real Truck says "this item is temporarily unavailable. Much like dealing with Ford the truth would fit better.

Yeah..I would cancel but unfortunately this is the cover I want the most. Don't want to settle since these things are so pricey.

Time for you guys to flip to the truxedo sentry ct! Loving mine, looks great and I've had it for 3 weeks.

Also it was under $800 plus tax free shipping from Alex, save a few bucks in the process. Also easier to remove when you need to.

Oh wow looks really similar. Just spoke with a rep from Realtruck, they list the cover for 999.99, but with their black Friday sale they are doing 899.99+tax+free shipping.

I am tempted to make the switch since Bakflip has been a pain to deal with.

Have you called them? Mine is 2 months are you planning on cancelling. Another user here was gonna order 20/30 of them for a fleet on ordered mavericks. I think he’s goin different route. I think I may have talk to everyone on Bakflip site and I couldn’t get a definite answer. This is one way to lose business.
