Installed review: Mabett side door storage trays and head rest hooks

Hey MTC,

I just installed some recently purchased Mabett side door storage trays and head rest hooks and I must say, these look OEM.
They fit so perfect you'd think they were made by Ford. I'm really happy with these because it was so awkward to have much of that space unusable.

If you drop the headrest all the way down, can you still access the hooks?

In your opinion do you think these would pose additional injury problems to rear seat occupants during a crash? Are they that inflexible?

In my opinion absolutely not. They fold forward really easily. Just make sure the occupants are wearing the seat belt. I actually think the seat belt alert would kill you quicker because it's so annoying ...

Thanks for posting. I was looking at the hooks and searched for a reviews of them before on this site. I reviewed some Muslogy and Maxzina items but no one has looked at the posts. I look at any review of aftermarkets from real buyers if I can. Thanks again for the information.

People look. They just didn't comment. Personally I see reviews posted and wonder if they are somehow compensated postings.

I've had many an insert found in product boxes looking to compensate for ratings and reviews. Unsure if these vendors offer such things because I am of the mind that the Maverick comes with enough plastic from the factory.

+1 on the seat hooks! If you buy the "package" and have a 2022 XL you will need to get a "cigarette lighter adapter" to operate the USB fan in the rear cabin. I suggest a low profile adapter.

I ordered the head rest hooks based on your review. I was waiting until I needed something else to get free shipping on Amazon. I refuse to pay for prime. Door inserts are next, thanks again.

Lol I'm glad I don't like prime either but... let me know how they work for you! Should be pretty similar considering mine is a 2025.
