Bought on and returned it late last fall. Hopefully they have decided to add directions to install. The tray in the bottom of the slot has to be removed... Who knew... No directions. You need to clean the back of your phone with alcohol before adding the disk to make sure it sticks properly.... Who knew... No directions. Had I known, it may not have been returned...

Got one for my Mav and I really like it but, I would suggest a couple of things. First, after install, it rattled on every road bump so I put one small, thin, light duty adhesive felt pad (round green ones) on the left side of the unit housing and reinstalled it. Snugged it up perfectly; no more rattles. Second, you’re going to need more than one metal ring for your phone case. The rings don’t stay on the case forever as you pull the phone off the holder and at some point you may want to change phone cases. You can get extra metal rings on Amazon. They come in a set of three for $4. Simple solutions for an already good product.

I’m having the same issue plus my 15 non pro being smaller is hit n miss on getting charged.
Try a 13 mini. I think I'm going to lay down an outline in tape. Or design and print a frame I drop the phone into and nail the connection every time.

I have a piece of foam to keep my phone from moving around but I need to adjust it. Regardless on long drives my phone gets so hot it turns off. 😬 I have a 24 Lariat

Yeah, my surface charger in my 2024 Lariat, I can’t use. It makes my IPhone 16 pro hot.
I found that the magnetic ring I have on my otterbox causes a crap load of heat when wireless charging. Pull the silicone cover off with the magnetic ring and the phone charges with out getting hot.. I don't know if it is the magnetic charging interacting with the magnetic ring or what but the phone gets hotter than smoke!

Ok so If I pulled my Pelican case off my phone I’d not get it hot got it. No one is going to do that. Besides you’d wear out/stretch your case to crap.
I always suspected it was the increased distance because of the case thickness. Add to that the charger would have to push harder.

I have other cars and chargers that are mag-safe compatible and you don’t need to remove the phone case. The other chargers do not cause the phone to overheat. This is an issue with the charger in the Maverick.

I agree. I have a thin case that’s specifically mag safe but, when I use the Mav mag charger, my phone gets super hot and charges super slow. Almost useless as a charger. By example, put my phone on the charger for 30 minutes while driving and it picks up maybe 5% on a good day.
