My phone screen reflects poorly when turned off, not something I'd want to use as a mirror. Maybe get one of your folk to get their phone, take some pics, and share them with the group. Only take you a few minutes.

These add on ones don't work like that, they have an off button rather than the flip action. So you have to manually move the mirror to minimize glare and reflections- in other words pointing the mirror down at your seats or your shirt if you're wearing dark colors

The point is - you can't use it without the camera. It looks like a phone screen not a true mirror.

Further up in the thread they responded that it does function like a mirror when off but that appears to be not true.

Well that's not true at all - I use mine like a mirror when the screen is off - it's just that you have to angle them away from functioning like a mirror when you have the display on.

The G900 pro has been out for some time now and the 800 series even longer they've been reviewed pretty extensively. If you want it to function like a mirror most of the time it's probably to have a separate dash cam instead. I don't use Wolfbox because their pricing is too high for the feature set but they work as intended.

would you mind taking a few photos of it in 'mirror' mode? keep hearing about this but no one has shown any quality photos. is it almost as good as an actual mirror? saying it's as good as my phone screen is not a good thing, my phone screen sucks as a mirror.

Yeah I know - it is the SAME model vehicle I have referenced in this thread already. I am showing the functionality that this vendor refuses to because they don't have it.

That is not great but I suppose acceptable in daylight but probably useless at night. I do like the idea of the rear camera view mirror and would like to add one for the Maverick although I can use my rear view camera now on the infotainment screen it is not the same as a dedicated one in the rear view mirror.

It's honestly not something you've ever really thought you needed until you have it, almost like a heated steering wheel! It is a bit odd when you move and the angle doesn't change but you quickly get used to the improved view.
