I'm super stoked to finally be able to say my LEGO Maverick is complete, built, and ready for people to see/build! I really wanted a LEGO version of the Maverick, as I have LEGO versions of all of the other cars I've owned in the past, but felt like the versions out there for sale didn't fully capture the unique details of the truck, especially the visual mods that the Tremor model has. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out, it's very recognizable at a glance while still looking distinctly LEGO; I'm especially pleased with the 4-cylinder engine and the dash/interior, complete with dark blue accents, a center touchscreen(phone tile rotated sideways), and a gauge cluster. It came out to 466 pieces, and is 8 studs wide by ~24 studs long.

I posted the full instruction PDF on Rebrickable, along with a separate parts list XML file that you can upload to a brick reselling site like BrickOwl to easily add all of the necessary parts to a wishlist and buy from there. Aside from a couple of decal-printed pieces that are optional (but I think are the cherry on top) they're all intentionally cheap parts to keep it as affordable as possible. I also kept the body color pieces as common as possible so that its easier to change them out to match the color of your own Maverick too.

It looks even better in person, it's such a fun memento/display piece. I absolutely cannot wait to see all of the pics of people that end up building their own renditions to match their trucks. Happy building!

Well, this weekend I took OP up on the challenge and decided to try and make my Eruption Green XLT in Lego - it was pretty tricky!

That said, I'm really pleased with the final result - the instructions for this MOC were very good, well worth the cost, and the detailing on this model is crazy!

Ford Maverick Designed my own LEGO Maverick, with instructions linked! PXL_20250217_124343720~2

I had to make several modifications to build a '25 in green, but the short list is below:
  • Different fender flares (which forces smaller wheels) - Lego doesn't make the specific ones OP used in green!
  • Adjusted roofline (due to the green pieces I had available)
  • Modified interior to be mostly navy, as the grey in the '25 XLTs is less pronounced IMO (also, again, limited by the pieces I had)
  • Reworked front fascia, which took a lot of building and rebuilding to try and get the headlights right!
Overall, this was a super fun build, and it cost me about $60 - one trip to a local Lego store to find the hood piece and as many green small tiles as I could get, and then buying the Speed Champions Aston Martin F1 set to get more green slopes and wedges. For the piece count, that price honestly isn't bad at all! If you want to build in green, I think you would have to choose this color - the dark green pieces are even harder to come by.

And best of all, now my daughter has a toy version of my truck to play with. Time well spent, I'd say!

Thanks for the glowing review/recommendation! Well done on trying to create a 2025 version, especially with limited color options it came out great so kudos. the front when I designed mine was by far the most difficult to get right too, it took me hours of fiddling and redesigning. if you ever want to continue tweaking and haven't used it already, I highly recommend using Bricklink Studio, it's an amazingly robust software that's completely free, and it helped me really quickly iterate on my design before having to buy physical pieces.

Ultimately though, it looks fantastic, thanks for sharing! Hope you had fun flexing your creative muscles to design a 25.

I've used Studio in the past, it's definitely great!

I had the time to kill this weekend, and the pieces were fairly easy to come by with those few exceptions, so I just got to building this time.

Your MOC is by far the best I've seen at compromises between technique and detail at this scale...it was fun to try and work with slightly different pieces and still get as close as I could to your original design. Hope you get to do more things like this in the future!

Even better! Honestly I prefer it that way too, to just go at it in the real world and tinker, if you can find enough pieces to do so it's more fun.

Thanks! I really appreciate it, this was my first real crack at my own design, so I'm stoked that people like you are enjoying it. This is such a fun scale to work at, it's the perfect balance between detail and needing to keep it simple, it's minifig-sized, and even detailed models aren't an absurd amount of pieces, which helps cut down on cost. I'll admit, some of the design choices came from happy coincidences; the 4-cylinder engine came out of needing to use a very specific SNOT piece to fill out the hood, and grew from there. That's my favorite aspect of designing something like this though, the creative problem solving is really engaging and satisfying when you come across the right solution, and working in LEGO means that even though you want to get it looking right, you're not a slave to perfectly accurate dimensions.

Glad you had fun! Rest assured I'll be designing more in my free time, it's just too fun hahah

Absolutely! To order it, just follow the link I posted, that'll take you to a page with the instructions and parts list, which you'll use to buy the bricks and build your own.

Changing the color is relatively easy, when you look at the parts list, every bright red brick is a body color part(except one 1 x 1 with a c-clip, that's the battery), so you just swap those out with whatever color you want and you're set!

Of course, thanks for appreciating it! I hope you have a blast putting it together, I know I did when I designed it. If you have any other questions I'm happy to help. I'll post a link below to the reddit thread I also made about it, where one of the comments I made goes in more detail as to how you can order the parts from a brick reseller website:

This is an amazing design that I really enjoyed building in Brick Link Studio after buying the pdf file. It was my first time using the software but I wanted to see if I could build this in a color close to Azure Grey Metallic. I found a color that looks super close to my wanted color, but sadly not all the parts are availabe in that color. I spent a ton of time after that trying to see what colors I could build, as I really want to build this.

So in the interest of saving some other people the time, I wanted to share what colors I found to be perfectly swappable with the Red from the design, and some other colors I found to work if you just change a few pieces to black or remove a few pieces.

I used Brick Link Studio 2 and its database to find parts available for each color. So I could be incorrect, if their database has any bad data.

Below I show which colors can be swapped in directly for all the red parts. (except the red piece under the hood representing the battery)

Here are renders of the available colors, Note I changed the seats and dash to black in my build as I have a Lariat Tremor instead of XLT.

Dark Blue (Black pieces at base of A Pillar) Note that this makes the interior and the exterior the same Dark Blue color and the fender flares in this color are insanely expensive

If you Change the Fender Flares to Black you can build Green and Tan.

There are 2 pieces on the rear tailgate that are not available for Light Bluish Grey and Dark Red, but if you remove them or substute them for something else, you can get away with choosing these colors. The below picture show the 2 pieces.

Wow, that's some real legwork to explore the color options, well done! As far as the tailgate piece limitation, I actually had a workaround myself initially when I was drawing it up in dark red, when I thought it would match the HPR more closely. If you use a 1x6 instead of a 2x6 below the emblem part, you can insert the same sloped 1x2 that are used a whole bunch of other places to replicate the tailgate design. Example here:
Ford Maverick Designed my own LEGO Maverick, with instructions linked! LegoFMT_PR

That should help free up Light Grey and Dark Red as options. If you do dark red though, you'll want to switch the color of the taillights to either normal red or translucent red, so that they don't just blend in to the body.

Really great work though, I appreciate the thorough post follow-up, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I like that alternative Tailgate design, but I think i would prefer less of the Lego pegs showing since they don't show much else on the build. Here are a couple other ideas I had for tailgates. (also have transparent red tail lights on this render, considering that option.

I call this one Fangs (your design plus a 4x1 tile):

And this one the Square

I am also considering color matched side mirrors and handles since that is how my Avalanche Grey Maverick was before it got totalled. But idk ifI like the look as much or not. I will probably buy enough parts to try everything lol
