Hello, this is my second post. Last year I complained to this group about the many Ford Maverick recalls. Thanks to your advice, I've accepted the recalls and have been going with the flow. Now, I'm having a reoccurring issue. When I use my parking brake, I get warning light(s) in the photo below.
So far, over 3 or 4 visits to my dealer, they’ve unkinked and lubed a hose, replaced an emergency brake booster and bleed the brakes. That didn’t fix it, the lights/warnings came back. This week I’ve been waiting for them to get in an actuator(?) to see if that will fix the issue. Will it? Your guess is as good as theirs. I was told if this doesn't fix it, they'll have to replace the harness. That seems a bit extreme but I also. hate driving with all of these warning lights! I don't trust this car anymore and have doubts it's going to have a trouble-free life. Has anybody encountered this issue and more importantly...how did it get resolved? I should get my '23 Ford Maverick Hybrid back on Monday. Hopefully it's fixed. I don't have time to keep going to the dealer over and over and over again...It throws codes when the lights come on, you would think it could be fixed from that information but so far no luck. Thank you.

Some of the messages that are displayed on modern vehicles, including this one, are the equivalent of a crying baby. It's telling you something is wrong, but not the cause.

Fortunately, unlike babies, the Maverick will spit out diagnostic codes. If you stop by your local auto parts store, they can pull that for you so that folks here have a starting point.

You may want to find another service department to look at it. These folks seem like they're just throwing parts on.

Or crying wolf. When there is no wolf.

Glitches abound in modern vehicles. They are one reason I didn't want a bunch of optional accessories that are guaranteed to malfunction at some point, and only add to the vehicle owners' stress.

Like mentioned previously, try a different dealer, oh and mention the switch possibility. If they can't figure it out, my motto is if I can't trust it, I get rid of it. Life's to short to continuously be stressed out about a vehicle or whatever it might be. Just my opinion. Good Luck, I sincerely hope they get it fixed.

I really wanted this truck but I'd like to go with something else if they can't fix it.

They're also putting on a new caliper...because it was leaking. The hits keep coming and my Mav has been at the dealer for 9 days. It's a '23 with 10,800 miles...never had an experience like this before.
