Apparently some of you came over straight from crank windows.
My 1997 Sonoma had manual window cranks. As my dad said, the more complex the mechanism, the more things to go wrong and the more expensive to fix. Never had a manual crank fail, but have replaced the electric window motors.

My current 2002 Jeep Wrangler has roll up windows.
I'm pretty sure that nearly every car since roll down windows were introduced (1920s?) can roll up as well . . .

It makes you "king" of airflow.
just like everyone prior, you're wrong.

It's the lock-out switch for the ejector seat.

It must be tapped once and then held down for two seconds before the dash button will function.

Since implementing this, for has seen a 97% decrease in letters of remorse from those ejecting mother in laws in the heat of passion . . .

[and a few more thanking them, from operators who enjoyed the look of horror while holding down those two seconds!]

I've had well used vehicles in the past that could only roll up if you pulled up on the window at the same time, or they'de stop in a section of missing teeth and just make grindy sounds. :sneaky:
