Couldn’t wait for the Ranger Raptor or a new Maverick trim (maybe a Tremor in the future?) so decided to give her a minor grill update. Both lights are from Amazon and installed them DIY. I’m not a wiring expert but pretty easy given the light wiring came color coded so just hooked them up yellow to yellow (turn signals), black to ground etc. I used MrBoom’s YouTube video on how to remove the grill and headlights to install my LEDs. What do you guys think? Check out more pics and video here.

The illumination looks great. I really like the three amber accents, those fit the appearance very well.

I know it's a ton of work but the strips would definitely look better inside of the housings. Also, not sure how much space there is in between the housings and the fenders or the material of those strips but I could see them rubbing the paint off in no time; may be something to keep an eye on.

Q1. Did you have to take the headlights out to install light strip. Q2. Did you use two light strip sets and cut them to do both headlight or did you cut the one light strip so you could do both headlight and did you have to soldered wires to the second piece so you could hook it up. Q3. Where did you hook up the light strips for power? Sorry if this is too many questions but I am interested in trying to do this also

Yes I had to remove the grill and the headlights for installation. They’re 2 strips connected to the cabin fuse box, number 6 from what I remember.

Do you have any closer photos of the LED strip on the headlights?

Can we get some more pics of those headlights? Maybe a video of turning signal combo? I really like what you did there, especially since there is no aftermarket bumpers yet

Good job! I would like more pics as well. I would love to come up with a way to put lights in the upper C of my XLT. I really want that "Lightening" light strip across the grille but it needs to connect to the upper C. IMO
