Brilliant! (y)

I like that you can use it on a camping trip, and replace your tonneau back on the bed when you get back home. Great versatility. C'mon up to Gunnison and build me one of those!

Nicely done, one of the best I’ve seen. I’d guess it was budget friendly?!? Thanks for posting!

You mentioned a bigger camper, with a microwave, is that a home built too?

It bit of a crazy concept. But it actually works. Not a refined build, but it is good enough for Southern California.
Pretty cool!!! I managed about 8 mountain biking + camping trips this year. Luckily the REI tent was all I really needed. No chance I could build or store this unit in winter on the wet East coast.

Can you post a link to your blog/channel to see it?
I made a few different versions. Here is one of them. You can check out the other videos for different builds.

Yes, I did actually watch that one a while back. I'll have to take another look at it. A few times I just stayed 1 night so the tent wasn't ideal. A cabin bed would work in those situations. I'm 5'8"-5'9" so I could probably work that.

Super job! I went through a very similar thought process, but discovered I could sleep diagonally so skipped the pull out. You have a lot of well thought out details. Kudos! Thanks a million for sharing.

Nice job. On both the video and camper.

I'd think if you put some rubber gasket type of material on the top of the walls the roof would be water-proof. Some day you will have rain or heavy dew.

I realize the need for the escape hatch.
In case some prankster closes the tailgate while you are inside. With the slide out, that can't happen though.

Two thumbs up.
👍🏻👍🏻
