LOMAX Stance Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover installed

In looking for a hard cover for my 2022 Maverick hybrid, I wanted to find one that is secure and takes up the least amount of space when completely open. I decided to go with the Lomax Stance tonneau cover and am very happy with it. If you’re looking for a hard cover that gives you the most bed space when it’s open all the way, this is your cover. I installed the cover myself which took about 45 minutes. The cover can also be removed easily by loosening 2 bolts, unhooking the safety straps, and lifting it off.

How are the tie downs on top of the cab attached?

You have to stick 2 magnetic brackets to the roof. I found a few YouTube videos that shows the installation of the brackets. The brackets were the main reason I considered going with a different brand. I’m glad I went with the Lomax.

Looks great. I assume back glass totally blocked when open. Has that been a problem?

Yes, the back window is completely blocked when it’s open. I haven’t actually gone anywhere with the cover fully open yet. I’m not anticipating any issues though.

When I installed it I put some extra seal tape in the gaps where the plastic bed tops overlap. I haven’t found any leaks in those locations but do get just s little on the corners of the tailgate. At this point I’m thinking the leak is actually the gate itself, not the cover. The side rails don’t appear to be leaking at all. This spring after it warms up I’ll get my hose out and see if I can add some additional seal on the gate edges.

Ya, it’s on the high side of the hard folding covers. It was 15% off when I ordered it which helped. I do feel it’s worth the couple hundred extra I paid vs the other popular hard covers.

I ordered the Lomax Stance cover for my Santa Cruz. How difficult was it for you to determine and mount the two holders on the roof? I'm concerned the glue may not hold on the coating sealant I have on my vehicle. Do you have any concerns? Looks like you bought the diamond plate version. Based upon the reviews I read these are great covers.

How is the fit near the tailgate? It looks like it's low profile and doesn't stuck up much which is nice.

The fit on the rails and tailgate are good. The only leaking I’ve had (which isn’t much either) is through the gaps on the edge of the tailgate. See additional pics (sorry for lack of light as it’s dark out).

The top mounts are pretty easy to install. It comes with a primer that you put on before sticking the mounts so I’m sure it will hold.
