I just picked up my XLT on Friday and noticed that a green descending truck icon illuminates whenever going down a hill or sometimes in sweeping curves. What does this mean? I tried searching the users manual but all I could find was hill descent control which my XLT is not equipped with. It seems to turn itself on and off automatically.

Yep shows up on my XL trim, I suspect after many down hill runs that some form of Hill descent assist actually exists. Mph stays way too solid.
Think about it as a positive to chip shortage and Ford not really trying too hard to remove software related removals.
Like remote start, used to pay hundreds extra for that when it was an actual hardware device. Since it’s software on standard across trim hardware. Ford could write it out but that causes testing and extra work that doesn’t need to happen.

Ditto. I see it in mine also. Like automatic regen on hills.
