Since the Maverick is almost built around a computer, with modem, etc., I was thinking it would be nice if the on-board computer could be turned on early and send me daily update messages. Like
"I just went on the assembly line today"
"I just got my tires put on"
"They sent me to the SIBL facility"
"I was put on the train today"

Let the truck tell me what's going on, relieving Ford of the distasteful job of communicating.

Great in theory, but in practice this would work like this.

“I got my tires on”

“I want chips”
Nothing for 4 months

Dealer calls “your truck is here with 5 sets of tires”

Ford doesn’t know how to communicate for more than 3 months. That used to be the extent of an orders weight time.
