Does the Maverick have side airbags in the seat? My truck has been shipped, and I'm thinking about getting seat covers. Will they hinder air bag deployment?

i recommend you purchase seat covers designed for seat airbags. properly designed seat covers will have essentially a weakened seam where the seat airbag is expected to deploy. i'd stay away from most of the amazon stuff

Yes, there are airbags in the seat. p 51 in my 23 owner's manual.

WARNING: Do not place objects
or mount equipment on or near the
airbag cover, on the side of the front or
rear seatbacks, or in areas that may
come into contact with a deploying
airbag. Failure to follow these
instructions may increase the risk of
personal injury in the event of a crash.

Even if they have side air bag functions don't install them on the wrong seats like one Youtuber did - the air bag openings were on the center sidesof the seats. Also, if you have heated seats covers aren't recommended.

The front seat covers I bought from Autozone are admittedly, cheap, but they are just covers and will not hinder the seat airbags. The one on the driver’s side is one piece while the passenger was a two piece. I didn’t like the bottom part so I used the bottom part from a previous cover. I do like the Ford logo. The seat covers were only $31 each. No, they’re not the full replacement covers that are expensive and or mean seat disassembly but they are easy to install and perform the function of protecting the seats which is the main reason I did it.

I wouldn't trust any cheap made in China covers. They just do cheap stitching in that side a sew in a airbag tag on one side. They don't care about you or that airbag coming out.
