Which parts are aluminum?

I did the magnet test and the hood plus some of the support structure of the hood is in fact Aluminum. The rest of the body including the tailgate is steel.

Actually, I think the gas door is a plastic piece. Feels like plastic and makes noise like plastic. At least on my ‘23 OC XLT Ecobeast!

The only part of the Maverick that’s Aluminum is the hood and the under support structure of the hood. The rest of the vehicle is steel. I confirmed this with a magnet.

If you've got one you can always try the old fashioned way of detecting steel and hold a little magnet up to it.

Odds are if its metal and not steel itll be aluminum. If its not metal it's plastic.

I havent checked the hood or tailgate myself yet but seems reasonable the two parts youd lift ever would be i guess.
