Hello new to the Club, just retired to Orlando and have a 2006 Quad Dakota and after spending time on YouTube tested out the new EcoBoost Maverick and found it to be interior wise as big as my Quad Dakota. Room for wife in front grandchild in back with me and Salesman in passenger seat. This is no small feat as I'm 6'5" and 300. Did I mention big car seat fit well in middle rear seat.
So I'm hooked and waiting for September 15th to order.

Congrats on joining the ranks of Maverick owners-to-be. Expect a pretty sizeable wait for your truck to be scheduled for production.

Welcome! My last Truck was a 4 door 2003 Dakota, green with a swoosh on it. Let it go in 2008 as gas prices where killing me with a 135 mile round trip commute and lots of stop and go traffic.

Shop around for a good dealer is the best thing you can do and to have patience. The Army was nothing with the hurry up and wait. You wait to order and then wait to be sure the dealer ordered it properly. Make sure you bug them after the fact for a ROVP screen shot with a status of Approved. Wait forever to get scheduled and then wait as they shuffle your build week, wait for it in the body shop for bed stuff, and then wait for it to be transported, getting onto a rail car and then from the railcar to the dealer.

Yes, a lot of waiting and was either very lucky or missing out on some changes, especially in the luxury package that you had to get everything. October did not feel late in the model year, but after I ordered, Oct 25, 2021, Ford announced the Nov 15th hybrid cut-off. Guesstimate if my build does not move much more will be 50 weeks before delivery.

Hopefully you will wait significantly less, but the 8-12 weeks they told us at the dealer is like the 2 weeks in the movie the Money Pit. It will be so much longer.

You do need to choose your dealer wisely. Many dealers will still mark them up, even on an order. Read reviews and be willing to drive to a dealer that doesn't mark them up.

Being that the OP is 6'5" he should be able to just hold the salesman upside down by his legs (AKA, A Fish Called Wanda!) and quickly obtain the needed information on the dealers hidden mark-ups!
Those of us under 5'8" have to just ask, repeatedly!
