Like many of you, I bought, installed and very much enjoyed the.Mabett PU Leather seat covers in my XLT Maverick with cloth seats. I recently traded up to a Lariat with Black Appearance Package featuring the black vinyl/ActiveX seats. Can I install the Mabett covers over the "pleather" OEM seat covers? Should I? Any advantages or disadvantages? Is it just redundant? I've heard these OEM vinyl covers don't really hold up well:/
One small technical consideration- the bottom foam of the Mabett covers have a felt-like covering that could (maybe) damage, scuff or wear into the factory covers. Obviously they dont affect cloth OEM covers, but using them over vinyl I'm just not sure.
Thoughts? Opinions?
