Are the usb ports hot only when the truck is running or are they timed to go off on my 2025 xlt hybrid ? I have a small led light that plugs into the usb port.I want them to go off when I turn off the truck. Thanks in advance.

The power port stays on up to IIRC 75 min.

You don't note what year you have - so if 25/26 it's 60 min.

Now - you also have a hybrid.
And once morning voltage (or thru the night) is seen at 12.1 V, battery saver functions will start kicking in to conserve battery power.
Lights off sooner on entry exit, and that power port off sooner.

So don't worry - if you haven't noticed the battery saver "features" - it's very unlikely to be staying on the full 75/60 min anyway.
Mine is off on door open at this point, actually since probably Aug/Sep. Well, except when I did a trip to NY from KC and back in Oct. But full charge was short lived, so back to my normal.

Unless you daily drive a good hour or more.

You would need to get into Forscan settings to purposely have it off sooner - many have gone for 5 min or less.

The BMS (Battery Management System) is pretty complicated. If you have this question, I would recommend you test it for yourself and not just ask the internet.

States that I can think of having done some low volt electrical work on the truck:
1) Key off after a drive. The radio keeps playing but is on a short timer and eventually the radio goes off. So its a short timer.
2) Door trigger. The radio keeps playing but it turns off as soon as you open the door. I am not sure which other accessories points(USB and Cigarette) also react like this.
3) Long Timer. The accessory bed port remains charged for something like 60 mins to provide power based on what I have read. It is a timer based trigger. I have used ForScan to reduce mine down to 60 seconds. When does that timer start? Key Off? Door Open? I don't know.

Based on the modifications that I have made to my truck and factory components.
1) Key off disables all ACCessory including my sub-woofer/amp immediately.
2) Open door triggers the radio to turn off. I am not sure if the cigarette power adapter reacts similarly.
3) Bed is on a long time delay but I used Forscan to reduce the delay because I don't need power there.
