Has anyone upgraded from the original AAWireless to the new AAWireless 2 and seen a marked improvement in connectivity? My drops and failures to connect on the original AAWireless seem to be increasing, but I have changed jobs and am driving much farther and through a more remote area now. I'm wondering if it's worth it to upgrade my AA Wireless.

The AA Wireless adapter just connects your phone to the truck. It has nothing to do with the cellular signal. I'm assuming the drops in remote areas are pertaining to the cellular signal to your phone. There are mobile external antenna/cell signal boosters available if cellular connectivity if what you are looking for. One example is https://powerfulsignal.com/

My AAWireless has been great. I wouldn't look for an upgrade. But if it failed, I'd buy the new one.

My phone will have signal, but the AAWireless won't connect to it sometimes, or drops connection to it.

I'm confused as you mentioned remote areas in your 1st post. The AA Wireless device connects via wireless to the truck. It should not drop based on the trucks location. If it drops connection anywhere then it's an AA Wireless problem and if not under warranty you need to replace it. If it only drops in remote areas it's a cell signal issue and replacing it will not help.

After conferring with lots of people in my personal and business sphere, the issue is WiFi signals being knocked out briefly. It seems to happen to me when I drive thru the same areas. We simply have so many signals flowing in the air now.

Wifi - 4
Wifi - 5
Wifi - 6

And all kinds of other communications streaming in the air.

I even had a truckers CB signal completely knock out my cellular connection. This is what I think is happening.

Have you tried going into the Aawireless app and adjusting the Wi-Fi settings? You can change the frequency at which it operates to help with signal if you are experiencing issues.
