So I on August 17 ordered a hybrid Maverick with the Lariat Luxury package online, having it sent to a nearby dealership. After not hearing anything from Ford or the dealership, I contacted the representative/salesman that was going to be fulfilling my order and he gave a rough estimate to have the truck in by the end of October. On October 15 the same representative contacted me saying that there was a shortage of materials and that switching to the 2.0 ecoboost engine would result in the an earlier arrival date but did not give me an ETA or anything like that. I happily agreed after seeing the driving tests on youtube and the reviews on this website. I again contacted him on the 21st asking if he had an ETA and he said that it would most likely not be ready until the end of the year but it could be sooner. I'm wondering if anyone has had any similar experience or advice to help me make some sense of this.

You may want to take a seat. Hybrids wont start making the earliest deliveries until Jan and sold out for the FY22 model. The EcoBoost should be scheduled for build soon if they ordered it correctly (see below). Ford is scheduling for weeks in December now. Meaning the earliest your truck will be built is December. People have been getting their EcoBoosts within 3-4 weeks after build. You probably won’t get your truck until Jan at best. Possibly later if not scheduled for December.

Did they take a copy of your drivers license? Did you fill out and sign the print out with your build? Did you get a confirmed email from ford? Did you get a buyers order with cost breakouts signed by the manager? If not you need to get your order confirmed in the ROVP system and get a buyers order to cover your ass. Dealers love to rip people off. Ford will email you status updates on your build. Emails come out Thursday mornings but somewhat randomly as for the time.

People have orders for Hybrids from back in June without a build date. EcoBoosts are getting scheduled fairly quickly so you won’t have to be too patient.

In the mean time to check out the Meme thread.
