Truxedo Sentry CT Latch Won’t Extend

Hey everyone, I recently bought a Truxedo Sentry CT for my 22 Maverick. Just installed it today, with pretty much no problems. Got to the end, and got confused because it wouldn’t lock shut.

Come to find out the latch on the passengers side is stuck inside the receptacle. Has anyone dealt with this or similar? I really don’t want to send the whole thing back just because of that (mostly because who wants to pack a tonneau cover back up and drop it off somewhere?).

Any help would be appreciated. I’m going to try some WD-40 tomorrow, I didn’t have any. I did try jiggling a small flathead in there with no luck.

I also have the Tuxedo Sentry, not CT, but absolutely love it & no problems whatsoever. Just call the company, they are a good business. Maybe just needs to be moved slightly to release locking bar.

I’ll try tomorrow. They were closed by the time I finished the install yesterday and I’m guessing they’re closed for the holiday today.

I was hoping someone may have seen the problem before and had an easy solution
