Does anyone know a good place to sell take off tires to in Socal? Looking at the stock tires really makes me want to get some different ones in the future.

You can try Discount Tire if you are buying a new set from them, they may give you mileage credit toward your purchase. I've heard as much as up to $100 each for practically dealer-new (the starting offer was $50 each, so negotiation worked).

I will be doing the same and was going down same route until I realized those Pirelli tires would go good on my wife's RAV4 and are an exact stock fit. So the takeoffs may reside in my garage for a bit until they get reutilized and save even more money that way.

Another option is Ford is having a Ford Rewards Bonus Points on tire purchases until 12/31 - so may be worth looking into that and putting the bonus points toward some Mav accessories....and still sell the takeoff tires.

And just for clarification, Discount Tire is called "America's Tire" in California.
https://www.americastire.com/

But yeah, I've had good luck getting credit with America's Tire/Discount Tire with OEM takeoffs that have less than a thousand miles or so. I don't think it's something they advertise, but just ask the counter person.

Just post them for sale in this marketplace on this forum, I actually really like the 18" wheels and keep checking for someone willing to sell or trade.

That's interesting. They are still called Discount Tire here in San Diego.

You'd be correct. The San Diego-to-Oceanside area is the outlier. Go 40 miles to Temecula and they become America's Tire.

I'm getting the Standard 18's on my Lariat but only God knows when that will be. I will be getting rid of them. It's only cost effective for a local buyer though. It costs way too much to send them across country. So if you list them on FB Marketplace or Craigslist you might get rid of them locally.

To add to the confusion, Discount Tire of Arizona (which owns the brands "Discount Tire" and "America's Tire") either decided to or was forced to use the name "America's Tire" in the rest of California because "Discount Tire" was already in use by Discount Tire & Service Centers of California.

To further add to the confusion, "American Tire", as opposed to "America's Tire", is in use by American Tire Depot of California.

To even further add to the confusion, Discount Tire of Arizona also owns the brand "Discount Tire Direct".
