So I was issued a VIN yesterday, yay! Only problem is the Ford Tracker is showing a completely different Maverick than I ordered!
My order:
  • AWD Ecoboost XLT
  • Velocity Blue
  • XLT Luxury Package
  • FX4
  • 4K Tow
  • Moon Roof
Tracker Info:
  • Hybrid XLT
  • Alto Blue
  • XLT Luxury Package
  • Full size spare
  • Floor liners

Did Ford CS send me the wrong VIN? Is my truck even scheduled? Did my dealer screw up my order even though I have the DORA sheet and their internal ordering system showing my correct build? Or is the tracker just screwed up?

With the limited information provided no one will be able to give you any answers.

That said, the tracker being screwed up is by far the most likely scenario.

Worst case... you got a hybrid. Flip that sucker and buy an EB if that is what you really want.

I called Ford customer service because the tracker wouldn't work at all for me, and they verified my order.

I'm surprised the tracker spit something back. I've had a Vin since July and it hasn't worked once.

I'm just wondering if anyone had a similar situation. Would really suck getting a hybrid right before the winter as I live in the mountains and need AWD for the snow.

Only way I got the tracker to work is to clear the search history for Ford's site

I think the most likely answer is that your dealer has more than one order with the same sales and/or order codes and the VIN you got was for a different customer at that dealership. Dealers assign those numbers and they can end up with duplicates.

So mystery solved. Turns out that Ford chat pulled up the wrong order. My dealer has multiple orders with the same sales code and the VIN they gave me is for someone else's truck.

Meanwhile I'm still in order processing.
Fuck you Ford.
