Was ready to buy a Hybrid, but, Ford has "Duped" us...They played the marketing card of "40 mpg" "$19,995", But in REALITY never intented to build "THOSE" trucks in volume....Because they can't make money. Another mid 20 mpg truck is NOT what this should be...Just traded a 2020 Ranger getting 26 mpg for a Honda Insight getting 45 mpg because of my commute. This truck should have been Hybrid only for the market, even if the base was 24,995.

Promising a truck they won't/can't build...Hybrid orders on hold until next summer for 2023 model year. If you're playing the 40 mpg Hybrid card for 19,995, you better be prepared to build them. They were not. They didn't intend to. They want people to buy the eco boost "slightly better than ranger mpg" version.

Please forgive me but I am failing to see where Ford duped ANYONE. They made 40 percent hybrid. That was always the plan. They have also admitted that they vastly underestimated the popularity of that truck.....but that did not mean you could not get one. I got two. One is on the way and the other is waiting on shipping. Sounds like you were just late to the party that was already full. Tell you what, I'll find a butthurt report and let you fill it out and I will personally send it to Ford on your behalf.

So, all those hybrids being built and delivered in the coming days/weeks are... lies? I mean, they've been delayed but they closed orders because they can't meet any more demand.

You had months and months to order a hybrid - you just waited too late. I ordered mine back in July and it will be built in January. Others have had their hybrids already built, to be delivered later this month

It is funny how these posts are always made as first posts for the people that make them. I suspect they are probably Hyundai dealers jealous of the Mavericks success.

Yeah, someone didn't see the writing on the wall (that a hybrid truck would sell out) with all the current events. Honestly, I can't believe it didn't sell out sooner. I also have two, and will be giving one to my dad or sister when they decide who gets it.

Hybrids are shipping out now according to people on this forum. Yeah, it would have been nice if they got the hybrids out at the same time as the EB engines....but I certainly wouldn't say they duped anyone.

To be fair to Ford this is the FIRST hybrid in history to outsell its gas counterpart in the same vehicle.

Considering he joined less than 30 min ago I'm going to ASSume that he tried to order recently after this truck had so many reservations that they had to shut down that system. He was just a day late and a dollar short.

Is this true? I hadn't seen or heard that! I would say that's a pretty big shift in the market, no wonder it's caused so many delays for the hybrid then.

Well, I would at least LIKED to see one in person before placing an order. Glad you took a chance. Now, can YOU provide some "Insight" on how your hybrid is actually performing?
