Toptiny, a good sub-$500 hard bed cover

I wanted a bed cover for my Maverick to create a secure compartment, but didn't want to spend too much. I saw that the Toptiny got really good reviews on Amazon, so I took a chance. After an easy installation, I have to say I'm pretty impressed for the money. It was $460 after a $40 coupon when I bought it in early Dec '23. It came well packaged with no damage. Installation was really easy, although the instructions weren't fantastic. Like a lot of the others out there, It has quick release handles on the last panel, and folds back flat on top of the first panel. There are clips there to secure it. I was a little surprised that there were no clamps on the middle panel, but I realize that there really is no need. As far as water protection, it has done well, with only a little water intrusion. I put some gasket material between the tail gate and the side fenders that helps keep out water back in the back. So far, no problem. The construction is really good of the panels. I think they are rated to 300lbs, and I believe it. I tried to push up on the corners to get into the bed and I couldn't. I'm sure it's not 100% secure against a-hole professional thieves, but is certainly great for run of the mill miscreants. I'm also pretty impressed they have the LED lights in there too. I don't think the Amazon listing even talked about that. Overall, I'm very happy and recommend it if you don't want to spend too much money.
