  1. Is this too good to be true?

I got a hard cover from Amazon for less than $500. It's a game changer. 95% of the time I don't need an open bed. With the locked tailgate, I can be confident my stuff is secure, especially when going to multiple stores on a Saturday.
  2. Toptiny, a good sub-$500 hard bed cover

I wanted a bed cover for my Maverick to create a secure compartment, but didn't want to spend too much. I saw that the Toptiny got really good reviews on Amazon, so I took a chance. After an easy installation, I have to say I'm pretty impressed for the money. It was $460 after a $40 coupon when...
  3. A.R.E. V Series Truck Cap installed

Really nice looking rig! I like that topper. I had one when I was in college. I used the heck out of it. Very useful, especially when hauling drunk people home from a party. Easy cleanup!
  4. A FUN door for the dashboard cubby. Easy and inexpensive!

It’s been working. I don’t think magnets do, especially something as weak as this one.
  5. What'd you put in dash Cubby Hole (space next display screen)?

You can get a variety of them at AutoZone for $5 each. Or you can order from the manufacturer. ( https://desperate.com/view-all/magnet/ ) Lots to choose from!
  6. What'd you put in dash Cubby Hole (space next display screen)?

A Texaco magnet to hide my garage door opener. Held there with magnets. Makes a great door. Just flick it down, push the button, then flick it back up.
  7. A FUN door for the dashboard cubby. Easy and inexpensive!

I was looking for a way to use the infamous cubby, but stuff kept falling out. I wanted a decorative door, when I came across this brand of refrigerator/vehicle magnets. They are made by a company called "Desperate Industries". ( https://desperate.com/view-all/magnet/ ) They also make tin...
  8. Does anyone have experience with the Calffree hard folding tonneau cover?

I've been looking for a basic hard folding tonneau cover. I saw people recommend the Roughcountry and Gator FX, but I was looking to see if there was a cheaper alternative. This Calffree looks pretty good and gets good reviews. I'm sure its made in china but supposedly the company is based in...
  9. 2023 Lariat for less than a 2024 XLT

That’s funny that you went over with your son. What I didn’t mention above is that my son went with me for a dad and son road trip on the way home. We stopped and did some fun stuff along the way. Amazing 36MPG average at 75mph. Would’ve been a heck of a lot better had it not rained for two...
  10. 2023 Lariat for less than a 2024 XLT

Originally ordered with Santa Fe Ford in Alachua. Small town dealer. Good, honest place. As far as cost, I spent about $400 between one way tickets to O’hare, one night hotel diving home, food and gas (I got 36MPG at 75-80 mph). Bit of a pain, but i like the idea I got a Lariat seats with my...
  11. 2023 Lariat for less than a 2024 XLT

No. This one doesn’t have either of those. Really, it just had the nice seats, sliding window, power driver seat, braking assist. That’s why it’s close to the XLT.
  12. 2023 Lariat for less than a 2024 XLT

I ordered a 2024 red, hybrid XLT with moonroof and spray bed liner this summer. The dealer quoted me MSRP plus $800 dealer fee. After waiting all this time, and still not having a build date, I decided to see if I could find the same combination in a ā€˜23 somewhere and try to negotiate a deal...
