I just bought the Leer quad fold that was on sale. I bought it because $399 was hard to pass up. If budget isn't a concern I think the best hard folding cover is the Lomax Stance. Very low profile, the gasket and hinges are on the bottom side of the cover so you don't have a bunch of rubber exposed to the sun around the outside and hinges. It also flips up against the cab so you have access to almost most of the bed.

I’d echo the recommendations for the Leer quad fold - when on sale. It replaced a hard tri fold cover I originally put on and I’m much happier with this. It may take some work to get it a little more water tight but it’s a lot more functional. Just do yourself a favor and throw away the directions because they’re more confusing than helpful.

One thing I didn’t realize I’d like as much as I do is the ability to quickly unlock the panels from one side. It makes it far quicker to load and unload items. Also the ability to stand the panels up and have access to the full bed is handy. If the budget allows it, I think it’s worthwhile to spend a little more for something more useful if you plan to keep it for years.
