I just got to play around (but not drive) the prototype Telo MT1. It's certainly a quirky vehicle. The front seat didn't feel cramped; back seat felt a little tight (I'm 6'). I like the idea of reconfiguring the vehicle to ditch the back seat in order to get an 8' bed. I don't like the idea that my toes will be about 6" from the front bumper (see photo)... I'd want to see crash test results before ever riding in the front seat of one of them! I do wish them success. After such a long drought, it's nice to see the truly small truck market getting some much need attention. That said, I'm quite happy with my Maverick (except for the stupid 12V battery drain issue, but that's a different discussion)

Most front end crash stuff on ICE vehicles is about getting the engine out of the way, so that front end will probably be just as safe (if not safer) than a Maverick

As a retired commercial driver I’ve seen so many crashes.

I’d ride/drive that thing in the city. Safer than a motorcycle.
Imagine hitting a deer in that. You’d be in a bit of trouble.
I was in a head on and am alive because of my Tacomas crumple zone. I used roughly twenty inches of crush up front.
It was a low speed hit. I was going about 35. The F-150 was going about 15
Do the math.
That thing doesn’t have fifteen inches.
