Hey everyone I couldn't find a thread with this info in it so I thought I'd post. I'm wondering what other companies make T-slot rails equivalent to the elevate ts rails that will work with the maverick OEM hard roll up cover? I'm looking for a cheaper alternative! thanks everyone.

Im not sure of any companies or products, but a quick google search on aluminum extrusion pieces and parts, will give you a good cheap start to a DIY project. You would have to make the brackets but making your own stuff can be fun.

I was wondering how much cheaper you needed to be for an engineered item, but I see they are now at $199, I paid $135 back in '22.

yea for a piece of aluminum that cost the manufacturer like $15 to make probably shouldn't be that much money but they have the monopoly so...

You probably haven't spent much time in a manufacturing environment, somebody needed to create the extrusion dies (left & right), so the $15 doesn't apply until you recoup the first $10K or more in cost to tool-up.

If you create a cheaper alternative, the world will beat a path to your door.

i understand it, yes the initial costs for trial and error of designing and engineering is costly but once that is complete it takes no time to build one after another. i have worked in mining and manufacturing companies for years, certainly long enough to understand that almost everything created has at least a 400% mark up in order to generate profits. if manufacturing companies decided to only mark up 50% instead of 400 then they may only be worth 5 billion instead of in the 100 billions/trillions. that my friend is called greed and unfortunately no one is happy with their current worth, especially not rich people
