Switch out Passenger door

So had a bad day and scrapped the passenger rear door and not something that you can buff out. Went to a local body shop and it was so much doom and gloom. All that they want to do to fix the scratch/dent with a cost of over 4500$. question: Can I switch out a used (someone's totaled maverick) one. My maverick is a 2024 Lariat and I wondering would a 2023 door work ? are the doors plug and play ? Just cant believe that in today's world to cost of repair. I found a cactus grey door on line for 1300$ delivered. Really don't want to give insurance a reason to jack rates. THOUGHTS?

Power window motor and switches could be different depending on model you have and the replaced door. Hardware should be easily changed I would think. More I don't really know.

Mine is a 2024 lariat and the replacement door is a 2022 lariat . Same color

FWIW you may want to search out a Pull a Part if you have one within driving distance . I bought one at Pull a Part for MIL's Ford Escape to switch out wiring and switches-their standard price is only $69 for doors .

@Bwicka you may be able to help the OP out with their question.

You will be fine , the only difference I know of , is the switch modules in the 2
Front doors, it may be the same for rears , but if you are doing lariat for lariat should be no problem.
Most likely your doing a door panel swap over anyways so all other internals are the same .

easy to take off and replace. Issue is with the wire harness with the replacement door as it was a 2022 and mine is a 2024. The computer can no read the door and is stating its ajar. many lights stay on. Contacted Ford and stated that I need to replace wire harnesses as they are not the same. So that is issue. Found a local body shop to fit dent and I am returning my replacement door.

fit perfect looked great but ….
the door wire harness was not the same the truck thought the door was ajar and cause lights on the dash to stay on. When i looked at the wire adaptor the wires were not the same so it didnt work .

Why wouldn't you just swap the parts from the original door to the replacement?
