Good evening,

I was recently quoted an out the door price and a market value selling price for my 2025 XLT AWD SuperCrew 4.5 f.
Being new to all of this, I am curious if the market value selling price is the price that the bank is asking for when they mention the Sticker Price.

Also, is there a way to know if the dealer added on additional fees that others dealers may not have? Purchased in North Carolina and the market value selling price is $30,985.

saw a dealerDoc and a dealer protection fee mixed in there

TIA

Dealers will often list "market value" and that usually means they added some things to the MSRP. Never go by "market value", go by what is listed on the sticker, MSRP. Anything below MSRP is a discount and anything above is an addition. Things like tax, title, and tags should be looked at separately. The doc fees, window etching, upholstery protection and junk like that are just $$ in the pocket of the dealers. Doc fees are almost impossible to get out of though they vary greatly from dealer to dealer. I always make them take all the other junk off, not paying for junk I never wanted. Dealer protection fee, protection from what?

Out the door price is what you are paying for the vehicle including all tax and fees, the total money you are handing over to buy the car. Another tip, always get them to quote the price, don't ever let them start with the payment numbers, get the actual price you are paying.
Are you buying this from Crossroads Ford in Apex?

Hi @TheShark I am yes. Will be asking about the dealer protection fee as you mentioned. Would like to know more and have that removed. Thank you
