I don’t have mine yet so I’m no help to you. I’d even drop mine off on the drive through to Texas.
But since I live in west Michigan and we have so much more salt than you guys.
Have you thought about having someone ceramic coat you rims?
I have them done to all mine since my 15. My 15 rims have all the usual corrosion. My 17 rims that are coated have zero.
Get your good rims for the whole year not just half.
Where at in IL are you? I'm in Lowell IN and have a set of takeoff wheels with caps if your interested
